Annual General Adjustment announced, effective September 1, 2022

Pursuant to Alameda Municipal Code Section 6-58.60(B), the Annual General Adjustment for September 1, 2022, through August 31, 2023, is 3.5%.
The Annual General Adjustment is a cap on the allowed amount of annual rent increase. It applies to all residential units at multi-unit properties (two or more units on a legal lot of record) in the City of Alameda for which a certificate of occupancy was issued before February 1995. The cap is calculated based on 70% of the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for the 12-month period ending April 2022.
